Dynamics Sales: Leads (View, Add, Edit)

Go to Dynamics: ahima.crm.dynamics.com and log in to Dynamics using your AHIMA credentials. Select the AHIMA-Sales app.


All leads are imported into Dynamics from Salesforce Forms or any other areas where data is collected.

View Leads 


All views are customizable. If you want to see data such as leads by lead status or owner, then you will need to apply filters to the current view you are accessing or start by creating a new lead view that can be saved to your dashboard.


In Dynamics, navigate to Sales on the left-hand navigation panel and select "Leads" to view all lead records. 



The default view for the leads tab is "My Open Leads". 


Click the drop-down next to "My Open Leads" to select a different pre-generated system views. 



Customize your "Leads" view to include other data by adding filters and columns, or create a new view.


Navigate to Leads → click on the Filters icon → click the [ + Add ] button to add filters*




*There is no limit on filters you can add. 


? Tip: Add "Lead Source" as filter layer to find out where the lead originated. 

? Tip: Columns added to system views will not generate in excel export list. You must create a new view with desired columns.

Lead Profile Basics


View lead source, status, and owner at the top right of name. 


? Tip: Click the drop-down arrow (next to lead owner name) to update source, status, or owner.  



Top lead progress bar indicates the stage you are with the lead which ends with "Closed"



Lead profiles summary tab includes:

  • Lead contact information
  • Lead company
  • Timeline of all interactions/communications
  • Topic (lead descriptors to indicate type)
  • Stakeholders*

*In stakeholders, select the More Commands button More Commands button., and then select + New Connection to add a contact as a stakeholder. A stakeholder is a key contact at the account who will be involved in decision-making.


Lead profile details tab includes:

  • Marketing information
  • Contact method


Lead profile related tab includes the following hidden tabs: 



Create New Lead


Go to the Leads view → select [ + New ].




Follow the process bar to enter data into fields to move the lead to the next stage.



If you're creating the lead for new customers, enter name, contact details, and company name in the Lead form.


-OR-


If you're creating the lead for an existing account or contact, in the Qualify stage of the process bar, select the existing account or contact.


When you select an existing account while creating a lead record, the company name is automatically populated.


When you select an existing contact while creating a lead record, the following information is automatically populated in the Lead form: First Name, Last Name, Job Title, Business Phone, Mobile Phone and Email.

Move Lead to Opportunity


To manually move a lead to an opportunity, open the lead then click [Quality] from the top panel.
