Update Product Inventory

How to update Product Inventory in Aptify


Open the Product


Go to the tab Inventory > Inventory Ledger

Double-click to open the inventory ledger record



The main Product Inventory Ledger Details tab will show you the current quantity values



Next go to the Product Inventory Ledger Entries tab.

This will show you all the history of when inventory quantity has been added/adjusted for this product.



To add/adjust inventory, click on the New Record button



Enter the needed values on the form:

  • Product Inv. Ledger - This field will automatically populate with the product name
  • Description - Add a description to explain the reason for the addition/adjustment of inventory
  • Date - This field will automatically populate with today's date
  • Quantity - Enter the amount that you are adding or adjusting. Use a negative amount if you are reducing the balance.
  • Type - Select if this is a Purchase (purchase amount), Adjustment (manual adjustments to amounts), Transfer (transferred to another item or warehouse), or Batch (the automatic reduction by aptify orders).


Click Save and Close.

You will then see the adjustment in the ledger entries with the updated balance. 



Save and close the Inventory Ledger record.
