Report Server Data Source Resync

The following article is a step-by-step fix if you come across a report that won't run or receive the following message: 

  • The report server cannot process the report or shared dataset. The shared data source 'Aptify' for the report server or SharePoint site is not valid. Browse to the server or site and select a shared data source.



1. In the Report Server, go to the report you wish to access and click on the ellipsis in the top right corner.



2. Click "Manage" on the bottom.



3. Click "Data Sources" on the left-hand side.



NOTE: If you get a report that doesn't show the "Data Sources" option, open the "Properties" tab on the left-hand side. Once in "Properties", you should see the reference of the source report. Navigate to the source report and continue the steps outlined in this article.


4. In Data Sources, click on the ellipsis below "A shared data source".



5. Next, click on "Data Sources".



6. Choose Aptify.



7. Click "Save".



You should now have access to the report.
