How To - Update 3M

Update requests should only come from Greg Walton, because they have to update all training materials once an update is applied.

First Coordinate with maria Ward or Angie Comfort to post an update notice on Academy.ahima.org of the 3M CRS update.

During the scheduled time preform the following to update 3M.

1. Go to Utilities > User Management
2. Click Select all and then Send message to send out a maintenance message
3. Click Lock Windows C&RS. This will prevent sessions from connecting prior to the update.
4. Once the message has been sent click End Session
5. 
6. Connect to AHIMAVLAB-02
7. Launch 3M CRS Utilities Menu shortcut (E:\3mhis\wcrs\utilities\WinYumController.exe)
8. Click Stop Web CRS Server (wait until service is stopped)
9. Click Utilities
10. Select Update Manager
11. Select latest version update to perform
12. 3MCodingandReimbursementSystemServer service will already be running after update completion
13. Navigate to 3M HIS Configuration Platform (ahima.org) 
14. Click far right drop-down > Select About
    1. 
15. Confirm version update
    1. 

Go to Utilities > User Management

Once the message has been sent click End Session
