Locate / Generate Backups                                   

RDP into AHIMASQL-TEST

Get a copy of the PROD backup from ahimasql-01a F:\Backups\AHIMASQL-01A\APTIFY\FULL copied over to ahimasql-test F:\Transfers

Log into SSMS and connect to the AHIMASQL-TEST

Click to expand on Databases

The right-click on Aptify à Tasks à Restore à Database…

Select the radio button Restore from Device
Click the ellipsis to select the backup location

Click Add

Navigate to F:\Transfers

Go to Options

Select Restore with Recovery
Check Overwrite the existing database (WITH REPLACE) (only when restoring Dev or Test)
Uncheck Take tail-log backup before restore (only when restoring Dev or Test)
Check close existing connections

Click OK

The folder list will display Aptify as (Restoring... ) while the backup is running.
 In the upper right you will see a progress bar displaying the percentage of completion.

You will receive a pop up once the restore is complete.

Run Update Scripts

Next you must run a few sql queries to anonymize email and logins to test information so that we do not accidentally email customers from a test environment. Convert cc to dummy card numbers. Update paypal to point at the sandbox. Update Entities. The scripts can be found in:

Update User Licenses

Login to Aptify-Test as the sa user. You can locate this login information in Secret Server (AHIMASQL-TEST – SA)

Go to User Administration à Licenses

Click on Licenses

In the main viewing area, go to the Licenses task bar.
 Click on the icon for Aptify License Import Wizard

Select Update Licenses to Match this Server

Click Next

Click Finish

Wait for Completion screen.

Final step - Follow up with the Dev team to make updates to B2C, etc.
