CEU Import Request Prep

The attached document is the official CEU import template that is REQUIRED for all CEU import requests. This template is to be used to consolidate all of the necessary event/session attendee information. 


PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT TICKETS WITH SEPARATE RAW DATA LISTS. 


Step 1: Collect all session/event details. 


Step 2. Download the CEU import template (attached to this solution article). 


Step 3. Prepare the CEU import template for IT import. Use the attendee data that is available within the respective platform (or provided by 3rd party) to update the excel template with accurate event information.  

  • Type = Requirement (ALWAYS ENTER "REQUIREMENT" FOR ALL LINES)
  • StudentID = Aptify AHIMA/Person ID (email not recommended, but OK if Aptify AHIMA/Person ID is not available)
  • DateGranted = Actual event/session date
  • DateStarted = Same as actual event/session date
  • Units = Total CEUs for the event (#)* (SESSIONS WORTH 0.00 CEUs WILL NOT BE ADDED TO CEU CENTER)
  • Title = Name of the event/session title
  • Status = Granted (ALWAYS ENTER "GRANTED" FOR ALL LINES)
  • ExpirationDate = 1/1/1900 (ALWAYS ENTER "1/1/1900" FOR ALL LINES)
  • EducationCategoryID = Domain the CEU is classified under to earn credit (options below) (ONE SELECTION REQUIRED FOR EACH SESSION. ENTER THE CORRESPONDING NUMBER ONLY)

    • Value = "1" for Yes (show certificate) 
    • Value = "0" for No (hide certificate)



Note: 

  • Sessions/Events worth 0.0 CEU will NOT be imported to the CEU center. 
  • Columns A, G-H will always remain the same (e.g. "Requirement", "Granted", "1/1/1900")
  • Column B each row is unique to attendee per session. 
  • Columns C-F each row will remain the same per session (easiest to paste attendee Aptify ID in column B, then drag to copy data in C-F per session). 
  • Columns I-K Choose one of the options for each and enter the corresponding number associated (NOT THE TEXT).  



Step 4. Save the CEU import excel file. 


Click File  →  Save As excel  

  • Save file location: Ahima Share (I:) drive → "00 -- Consolidated CEU Import - Excel Copy for Aptify Upload"
  • File name: "Event/Session Title.YYYY"
  • File save as type: Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) 

* One import excel file per event is suffice. 



Step 5. Submit a new ticket via support.ahima.org or email CEU import excel file to support@ahima.org to initiate the CEU import.
