Initiating a Meeting in Teams

Meet Instantly


1. Go to the Calendar icon on the left navigation panel and click Meet Now for a link to share and start meeting. 



To start an instant meeting within a specific Team channel, go to any Teams Channel you wish to start a meeting and click on Meet Now in the upper right corner.


Alternatively, click in the Reply section of a specific conversation related to your meeting and select the video Meet Now icon. 

 


2. When you're ready, click on Join Now

Schedule a Meeting


1. Go to the Calendar icon on the left navigation panel and highlight the timeframe for new meeting, or click on the + New Meeting button on the top right to schedule a meeting.



Alternatively, click inside of the Reply box in the Teams Channel conversation to initiate meeting and select the calendar Schedule a Meeting icon from the banner of available options.




3. Complete the meeting Title, Add required attendees, start date and time, Location, and details. 



4. (Optional) Refer to the Scheduling Assistant tab for an overview of all attendee availability.

5. (Optional) Adjust Time zone and/or registration requirement, as needed.


6. Click Send
