Adjusting Notifications in Teams

Tag colleagues using @firstnamelastname or @emailaddress in Team and chats to trigger a notification in their Activity feed about the conversation.

Edit General Notification Settings 


1. Click on your avatar located in the top right corner of the Teams application.

2. Select Manage Account 

               
 


3. In the Settings pop-out, go to Notifications. Here you can adjust frequency, sounds, and more. 



Adjust Notifications in Teams Channel

1. Go to specific Team Channel and click on the  • • •  icon on the upper right of Team Channel chat view, or by hovering over the right navigation Team Channel panel for more options.


2. Select Channel Notifications to adjust using one of the standard settings or customize. 



Mute/Unmute Chats in Teams


1. Go to the Chat tab and click on the  • • •  icon next to the chat ribbon on the left navigation panel.

 

2. Select Mute or Unmute, as needed.
