From time to time, Outlook will redirect incoming messages to your Junk Email. If you confirm they are in fact not spam, then follow any one of the 3 options listed below to move messages out of junk folder and in to your Inbox or another folder. If you continue having issues redirecting emails, please submit a helpdesk ticket.
Option 1: To mark an email message as Not junk in Outlook
1. Open your Junk Email folder and select the messages you want to keep.
2. From the top toolbar, select Not junk > Not junk (or Not spam > Not spam). You can also open the message and select the It's not junk link at the top.
3. If you've blocked someone by mistake, open your Blocked senders list and select the Remove next to their name.
4. Add the sender to your Safe senders list.
Option 2: Always Move Messages in the Conversation
1. Click to highlight the email
2. Right-click on the email and click Move
3. Select Always Move Messages in This Conversation...
4. Select inbox or the folder you wish to have related emails sent to instead of Junk, then click OK.
Option 3: Create New Rule to Always Move Messages to Inbox/Folder
1. Click to highlight the email
2. Go to Rules, then Manage Rules & Alerts
3. Click New Rule to create
4. In Step 1, choose template (for this instance, select Move messages from someone to a folder), then click Next
5. In Step 2, edit rule descriptions by clicking on the people of public group and specified hyperlinks
a. The people or public group hyperlink will give you the option to select address from the AHIMA active directory or your saved contacts
b. The specified people hyperlink will give you the option to select the folder you want the messages to go to moving forward
Click Next once complete
6. (Optional) Select and create exceptions to the rule, if applicable, then click Next
7. Click Finish to return back to the manage rules view
8. Click Apply
