Searching The Previous (Or Next) Code Year

The ICD-10 toggle on your Search Bar is always your gateway to the current year's code set, whether you're selecting the Alpha Index, Tabular Codes, Neoplasm Table, Drugs & Chemicals Table or External Causes Index from the drop down.

But searching the previous or next year's code set begins simply by selecting the FY 20xx (e.g., FY 2023) toggle. Once that's done, select the portion of that year's code set Alpha Index, Tabular Codes, Neoplasm Table, Drugs & Chemicals Table or External Causes Index from the drop down.

Searching the Alpha or External Cause Index, the Neoplasm or Drugs & Chemicals Table, or the Tabular directly functions the same as it does when you search the current code year. The difference is that you'll see a warning below the menu bar that "The page reflects the FY20xx year's ICD-10-CM code set."

And that's true whether you're searching an Index, Table or the Tabular.
