Using the CCI Validator

The CCI Validator can be accessed from the:

• Home page
• Right column of any code detail page
• Bill Pad

Steps to Use the Validator:

1. Select whether to apply Hospital or Practitioner CCI edits.
2. Choose to view Facility or Non-Facility RVUs.
3. Enter the CPT and HCPCS codes into the box and click Validate.

The validator will display edits for the latest quarter. Expert and Payer users can also use the Date of Service tool to load edits from a past date by selecting the appropriate year and quarter.

Results Display

Results are sorted by total RVU, with each code positioned as the Column 1 code. Under each Column 1 code, you’ll see:

• ICD-10-CM and HCPCS crosslinks
• Anesthesia crosslinks (for subscribers with the ASA Crosslinks add-on)

Bundling Edit Indicators:

• ✅ Green checkmark: No bundling edits
• ⚠️ Yellow exclamation point: Possible conflict — a modifier may be required
• ❌ Red X: Only one code in the pair can be reimbursed
