FY2023 ICD-10-CM Code Changes
The new code year will see the introduction of 1,176 new codes plus another 28 with revisions to their code descriptors. Among the most impactful to home health are codes to further identify the stage of severity as well as behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). These, and other, changes have necessitated more than a thousand edits each in the Alphabetic Index and Tabular – with another 200+ found in the Index to External Causes and Table of Drugs & Chemicals. Prepare for the most significant changes by learning how to look up key new and revised codes, and where to find pertinent guidance. - Recorded September 29, 2022
