Go to Dynamics: ahima.crm.dynamics.com and log in to Dynamics using your AHIMA credentials. Select one of the apps accordingly (e.g. AHIMA-Sales, AHIMA-AMS).
OPTION 1:
1. In Dynamics, go to the entity for which you want to create a new view (i.e. Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, etc.)
2. From the default page view, click the filter icon to the left of the small search bar.
3. In the pop-up window you can add, remove or adjust filters:
- Click Add to add a row, group or related entity.
- Click the ellipsis to the right of a filter to remove.
- Click the check boxes to the left of filters and then the ellipsis to the right to group filters.
- Once filters are grouped, you can choose and/or.
- Delete or ungroup using the ellipsis at the top right of the group.
EXAMPLE: If I want to see all accounts that I am the owner of, I'd type in "Owner" or choose it from the dropdown and set the operator to "Equals Current User".
Alternatively, if I want to see all accounts other than those I own, I would set the operator to "Does not equal current user".
If I choose "equals", I could see all the accounts that are owned by a specific person.
4. When finished editing filters, click apply at the bottom.
5. To edit columns, click the icon to the left of the filter icon.
6. In the pop-up window, you can add, remove or adjust columns.
- Click add columns to add columns.
- Click the ellipsis to the right of a column name to remove or move the column.
NOTE: You can also move a column by holding down and dragging.
7. When finished editing columns, click apply at the bottom.
8. Dynamics will show that you've edited the current view by putting an asterisk next to the name. Click on the down arrow next to view name and save your new view.
OPTION 2:
1. Click the main search bar and choose "Search for rows in a table using advanced filters" at the bottom.
2. In the pop-up window, choose the entity you wish to create your new view in and click continue.
3. You will be taken to the same pop-up window that allows you to edit filters. Follow the same steps to edit filters and columns and save your new view as above.
Delete, Share or Rename a View
1. Click the drop down to see the list of views. Click "Manage and share views".
2. Click the ellipsis to right of your personal view.
- Click "Delete" to delete your view.
- Click "Edit Info" to rename your view.
- Click "Hide" so that your view does not appear in the dropdown.
- Click "Share" to share your view with a user or team.
- Type the user or team name and click "Share" at the bottom right.
